| Biography | Welcome, I am Victoria Kearns (she/her), a culturally sensitive, accredited integrative psychotherapist with specialist training in supporting people with relationship and psychosexual issues. I offer in-person and online couples and individual therapy from my Shoreditch, East London and Watford, Hertfordshire practices. I work with people of all ages (from 18+) and sexual orientations, from different cultural and heritage backgrounds, as well as neurodivergent and disabled folk. I am a trauma-informed, non-monogamy and LGBTQ+ friendly, kink aware practitioner.
I provide a warm, non-judgemental space in which you can explore and reflect on your relationship or sexual challenges, the way these affect you and your hopes for change. I support you in discovering more about yourself and about how you would like to grow personally and in your relationships – facilitating change towards greater self-love, acceptance and greater satisfaction in your connection with others.
I’m passionate about helping people live life as richly as possible, with a heart, body and mind capable of joy, pleasure, self-expression and love. I believe that we are all born this way but past experiences and relationships, present circumstances and cultural narratives sometimes get in the way causing sadness, shame, fear and confusion. These emotions can disrupt our sense of self and our relationships and lead to behaviours that disconnect us from others and from ourselves.
My approach is to work with you as a fellow traveller, helping you to explore what is happening for you in your relationships, revealing ways of thinking and behaving that don’t serve you well and finding routes to greater satisfaction, joy, dignity and connection with yourself and with those you love. The journey isn’t always easy and sometimes means recognising some uncomfortable truths about yourself or your relationship before moving forwards to greater connection.
I am an integrative psychotherapist, trained to support you through evidence-based approaches relating to relationship therapy, psychosexual therapy and general psychotherapeutic approaches (such as attachment, existential therapy, CBT and emotionally focused therapy). My aim is to work collaboratively with you, relating to you in a way that most effectively helps youI achieve your goals. I am also a registered member of BACP – the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I offer 20% of my sessions at a reduced rate. Please get in touch to see if I can help – therapy@victoriakearns.co.uk / tel: 07864 945086. I look forward to hearing from you. |
