Biography

Sinéad is a qualified psychosexual and relationship therapist, who trained with The Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology (CICS) and is registered with the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT). She has studied and worked within the mental health field for 18 years and has worked within the NHS and higher education sectors.

Sinéad is trained in pluralism, which is an approach that can accommodate a variety of counselling and psychotherapy models of change, techniques, practices and theories. This means she approaches clients with the belief that each are unique and therefore may need different things at different times and it allows the client(s) and Sinéad to work together in exploring and working through the issues together.

Sinéad is able to work with individuals and intimate partners who are experiencing a range of issues, such as non-consensual non monogamy, differences in desire, sexual function issues around pain, erection and ejaculation, those who have experienced trauma, or those who are experiencing shame. She is also able to work with those who believe they have compulsive or problematic sexual behaviours.

Sinéad has previously worked with individuals who are experiencing lower self esteem following a life change, such as illness, and is able to work with individuals and intimate partners on reframing their relational and sexual selves for healthy lives and relationships free from distress.

Sinéad is passionate about self-care and self-exploration, and believes that we all already have the tools within us to be the authentic version of ourselves that we desire to be.
