Nicky MacCulloch

I have extensive experience of working with psychosexual issues.   I started off my career in Adult Nursing, eventually specialising in contraception, sexual health and sexual problems.  Alongside, my private work, I work as a therapist in a busy NHS Psychosexual Clinic in Hampshire.

I have worked for the NHS in a psychosexual capacity for over a decade.  In this time, I have acquired an extremely wide breadth of experience, knowledge and skills set, working with a huge variety of psychosexual difficulties across all age groups.     I work within a short-term biopsychosocial framework of therapy which, with client commitment, yields positive and long term results.  I work closely with GPs, medical professionals and specialist pelvic floor physiotherapists.  My NHS role also involves teaching, training and presenting at regional conferences, educational events and to local NHS services and support groups.

I offer an in-depth and comprehensive initial assessment, followed by a clearly outlined programme of therapy and an estimation of the number of sessions required.   I work in collaboration with my clients and continually assess progress.  I am very passionate and committed to helping individuals and couples overcome sexual difficulties.   I work primarily to educate and to raise awareness, in order to enable clients to resolve or manage their difficulty more successfully and independently.
