I currently work full time for Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust within SHARE Psychosexual Service (Sexual Help and Relationship Enhancement). I provide assessment and treatment for individuals or couples with sexual and/or relationship problems. For example:

‘Addictive’ and compulsive sexual behaviour

Anorgasmia (male and female)

Arousal disturbance (male and female)
Body image issues i.e. penis shape/size and labia concerns
Erectile dysfunction (psychogenic, organic or combined)
Early ejaculation and delayed/inhibited ejaculation
Gender Identity Issues
Sexual pain-penetration disorder (previously known as dyspareunia and vaginismus)
Hypoactive Sexual Desire Dysfunction (male and female)
Disorder of sexual preference and/or paraphilia
Relationship difficulties
Sexual abuse which is impacting on sexual function and/or sexual relationships.
Sexuality and Sexual orientation Issues
Substance induced sexual dysfunction.
Referrals are received primarily from GPs, some secondary healthcare practitioners if they have been referred there by their GP, and sexual health services. Referrals are made directly to the service by either completion of the service referral pro-forma or letter. This can be posted to SHARE, Acorn PHCC, 421 Blackburn Road, Accrington, BB5 1RT or emailed to bfw-tr.shareblacklancs@nhs.net
