Margaret Dunne

I am an accredited psychotherapist and supervisor, specialising in psychosexual, fertility and relationships therapy with over twenty years’ experience. I qualified as a counsellor from Trinity College Dublin and as a psychosexual psychotherapist with the London Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy. Having a particular interest in the integration of mind and body health, I trained in Boston with Dr Alice Domar, a renowned international expert in mind/body medicine.  My experience is in many psychosexual contexts, including reproductive health and sexuality, having worked with the Irish Family Planning Association, the Human Assisted Reproduction Ireland Unit of the Rotunda Hospital, the SIMS Fertility Clinic, Bray Women’s Health Centre, the Psychosexual Department of the National Maternity Hospital and in private practice. I have counselled individual clients and couples, including same-sex couples, across the full range of fertility and sexuality issues including I.V.F., I.C.S.I., donor sperm, donor egg, double donation, surrogacy, social egg freezing, vaginismus, erectile dysfunction, dyspareunia, delayed and premature ejaculation. Therapeutic approaches used include Rogerian, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am a founding member of the Irish Fertility Counsellors’ Association, an accredited supervisor with the Irish Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and a supervisor member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists.
