I work in private practice with individuals and couples with a wide variety of sexual, relationship and sexual compulsivity difficulties and work with partners of sex addicts. My therapy orientation is integrative and I have over 25 years practical experience. Problems are viewed from a holistic perspective and I aim to establish goals with my clients and regularly review progress. I offer a combination of in person and online consultations. EMDR psychotherapy is offered to those with experiences of sexual trauma, physical ,and or emotional abuse , neglect or issues around birth trauma or adjustments following surgery. EMDR can also be used for psychosexual issues like vaginismus and erectile problems .
My supervisees range from experienced peers to students on psychosexual training courses. I do an increasing amount of online work and have undertaken 60 hours of training in this field. I have recently completed an Msc in EMDR , my dissertation focussed on working on intensive trauma interventions with partners of sex addicts.
I am a founding member of ATSAC (Association for the Treatment of Sex Addiction and Compulsivity) and a member STOPSO (Stop Sexual Offending) and have undertaken training in the Compassion Focused Approach to working with Sex offenders.
