Laura Stannard

I help individuals and couples who feel disconnected from sex, intimacy or each other. Whether you’re struggling with differences in desire, painful sex, communication, sexual anxiety or relationship challenges, therapy offers a space to understand what’s happening beneath the surface and create meaningful, lasting change.

As a COSRT-accredited psychosexual and relationship therapist, I work with people from a wide range of backgrounds and relationship styles. I have particular expertise in supporting neurodivergent individuals and couples, including those navigating ADHD, autism and late diagnosis. As someone who is neurodivergent myself, I understand that intimacy, communication and relationships often require a different pace, greater clarity and approaches that genuinely fit the people involved.

My work is grounded in the belief that people and relationships rarely need fixing—they need understanding. Together, we’ll make sense of the patterns that have developed, explore what might be maintaining them, and create space for greater connection, pleasure and authenticity.

Alongside my clinical work, I develop educational resources and anatomical teaching models to improve body literacy and make conversations about sex and relationships more accessible.

I’m a COSRT-accredited psychosexual therapist based in the UK. I hold a Level 7 Diploma in Clinical Sexology from CICS Institute.
