Psychosexual Therapy Qualifications

Clinical Sexologist

Types of Therapy Used

My clinical approach integrates talking therapies, DBT, mindfulness, psychodrama, gestalt, creativity, using a range of creative tools, including action, visualisation, imagery, and art.

Issues Dealt With

My clinical work includes therapy for sex and relationship issues, such as unreliable erection, ejaculation difficulties such as rapid or delayed ejaculation, reducing anxiety around sex, relationships, intimacy and dating, gender and body image issues, trauma, eating disorders, sexual abuse and assault, sexual health issues, compulsive sexual behaviours, vulval pain conditions, vaginismus, dyspareunia (pain during intercourse), pornography issues, orgasmic or anorgasmic problems, sexual phobias or aversions, fears around lack of sexual experience, loss of desire and arousal difficulties. Difficulties in our sexual and intimate lives and relationships are much more common than we think, and this is simply because we don’t know how to talk about them when they happen. My specialist clinical interests are female sexual dysfunctions and PSSD (persistent sexual SSRI side effects; impact of antidepressants).

Type of Client

I work pluralistically from a contemporary biopsychosocial framework which incorporates all aspect of self and I believe that you have many of the answers you are seeking within yourself. My objective is to build a safe and holding space for a trusting relationship where you can explore and share your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and problems/difficulties. Clients often seek therapy because of symptoms affecting their everyday life. However, they are often unaware of the root cause of their self-sabotaging behaviours, relationship issues, and emotional numbness
