Therapists Profile
| Biography | I am a qualified psychosexual therapist and counsellor having achieved a post graduate diploma in psychosexual therapy from the University of Central Lancashire. I am a member of COSRT (The College of Sex and Relationship Therapists) and adhere to their code of conduct and ethical framework. I am also CRB checked and fully insured. I achieved my counselling qualification from Liverpool Community College, and this, coupled with experience volunteering for Rape Crisis and Childline has allowed me to develop a high level of communication skills and interpersonal skills in dealing with very emotive situations in a sensitive manner. My training included experience working as a psychosexual therapy student within Abacus Sexual Health (an NHS provision within Liverpool City Centre) and this afforded me the opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients and wide spectrum of psychosexual problems. I also gained experience working as part of the Trans Support Service (TSS), supporting clients with Gender Dysphoria. As well as being a psychosexual therapist, I am also a qualified radiotherapist and have over 15 years’ experience treating people with a broad range of cancers. I am a highly skilled and passionate allied health professional with specialist interest and additional training in breast cancer, spinal metastasis and the psychosexual effects of cancer. |
