Biography

You may be seeking help with challenges in your relationship, emotional life, life in general and/or issues with physical intimacy. I work with individuals and couples at my practices in St Albans and Central London and offer sessions online. I have 17 years’ experience as a Psychotherapist and have worked extensively in the NHS and Charity Sector – providing valuable experience in working with a diverse range of emotional and life difficulties.

Having studied and been influenced by the major Psychotherapeutic Schools of thought – Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Existential, Psychosexual and Mindfulness – I am able to tailor interventions to your specific challenges and needs. My aim is to provide a space of safety where you feel heard and understood. This will involve my listening and speaking both to what you intentionally and consciously bring to be worked on, but also to underlying dynamics which may be keeping you stuck in unhelpful patterns of relating or behaviour.

I am a highly qualified Sexual and Relationship Psychotherapist, experienced in working with a wide range of sexual and intimacy issues. These may include difficulties with desire and arousal, erectile dysfunction, premature or delayed ejaculation, sexual pain (including vaginismus), cancer and illness, and confidence and body issues. I value and promote inclusive practice, welcoming those from LGBTQ+ communities, and those practising consensual non-monogamy, or exploring what sexuality means to them. Other areas of speciality include working with attachment difficulties, trauma, depression, anxiety, bereavement and loss, destructive patterns, relationship difficulties, fertility and pregnancy

Following a piece of therapeutic work, clients typically report increased confidence, improved communication, intimacy and sexual functioning, as well as a sense of healing and freedom from past wounds.

If you would like to go ahead an Initial Consultation is an opportunity to meet and explore the possibility of working together. In the first session we will think about what you would like to achieve as well as any anxieties or fears you may have. We can discuss whether a short or ongoing arrangement is most suited to your needs and unique situation.
