I work with individuals, couples and families with both a relational and individual focus. I am qualified and experienced Psychosexual & Relationship Psychotherapist. I am a BACP (Accredited Member), & COSRT (Accredited Member) & ATSAC (Qualified Member). Alongside my Private Practice, I have previously worked with Relate, the NHS, local Hospices and a Sexual Assault Support Centre. I also work with sex addiction (including support for partners and families). I have an approachable, warm & empathic approach and clients feed back that they find this incredibly helpful. Working Together It’s a big decision to take the first step on your therapy journey. Clients often say that they wish they had done it sooner and that they quickly felt comfortable and at ease. I work in a relational way, which means I value building our therapeutic relationship together. I can provide support to enable you to process and navigate around your situation. We can together, explore your issues in a sensitive, but productive way. The therapy process can help to try to make sense of what’s gone before; rebuild confidence and self esteem, achieve a more effective way of communicating and establish resilience for the future. Clients often say that it is helpful to have a place to take time for themselves, and to reflect on their own needs. I offer long, medium and short term counselling and therapy and together we will explore during an initial assessment, which is the most beneficial for your situation. I am currently working online via Zoom and have availability Monday-Wednesday, daytime only. Email me: elizabethhickstherapy@gmail.com to arrange a session. |
