Psychosexual Therapy Qualifications

Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy

Biography

I’m a down-to-earth, empathic and insightful Therapist working mostly, but not exclusively, with kinky and non-monogamous folk.

I qualified as an Integrative Psychotherapist before specialising in relationship and sex therapy.

I also train and supervise other Relationship and Psychosexual Therapists, both in the UK and worldwide.

I regularly participate in professional development and research to ensure my own knowledge and skills remain relevant and up to date. Most recently this has included Neurodivergence, Sex and Relationships; Polygamy and Arranged Marriages; and Islamic Traditions and Laws on Sex and Sexuality.

As well as being an Accredited Member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT), I’m also an Accredited Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.

Issues Dealt With

For those of us who have felt judged, marginalised or discriminated against because we’re kinky or non-monogamous, it’s really important to feel seen, heard and safe in therapy. Unfortunately though, many therapists aren’t comfortable or confident talking kink, BDSM, polyamory and non-monogamy. I am. You might be dabbling in kinky play and want to explore more, or live a 24/7 BDSM lifestyle and are starting to find it challenging. Perhaps you’re confused or worried about your fantasies and fetishes? Or you might just be a kinkster looking for help with something else entirely. Whatever brings you to therapy, you will want to work with a therapist who understands and accepts all of you. It’s just the same with non-monogamy and polyamory. I can support you if you’re new to non-monogamy and want to take time to think and talk things through before you open your relationship. If you’re already non-monogamous or polyamorous, I can guide you through any challenges you might face, like poly-saturation, jealousy, envy or fear, or a breakdown in communication. I'm highly experienced in supporting partners creating or renegotiating relationship agreements. And I will work with you to build the communication skills that are essential in non-monogamous relationships; even more so than in monogamous relationships.

Type of Client

I work with all genders, sexualities, erotic desires and practices, and relationships between consenting adults. With individuals and those in intimate relationships, including couples, polycules, and all shapes and sizes of multi-partner relationships.
