Biography

I trained as a Psychosexual Therapist at the London Institute of Human sexuality, I work  with sexual dysfunctions and relationship issues concurrently

I  went on to learn Psychodynamic Counselling at Portsmouth University.

I took my Masters degree at Portsmouth University where I researched diagnostic  factors of sexual dysfunction and the prescribing  of drugs for non medical factors

I took two Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education at Southampton University. Both  at Masters level Bereavement and  Loss, including PTSD  and Human Sexuality

 

I have lectured on my subject at local colleges. I was head of the counselling Diploma at Portsmouth University; Supervisor at Portsmouth Counselling Services for two years.

 

I lectured around the UK on The intra-psychic process of Creativity and the use of photographic art as a therapeutic medium.

I have been published in a number of magazines with regard to human sexuality and ‘agony-aunted’ in three major publications.

I work with trauma on an ongoing basis, some examples are train drivers, hotel suicides, RTA’s, multiple car pile ups. I am a family assistance team member with an  international Emergency services organisation, which can take me around the world to international disasters and working with trauma (I am Kenyon trained in Trauma response) I have written on the subject of vicarious trauma- Vicarious traumatisation when dealing with rape survivors. I work at Air disaster sites carrying out forensic work. I care for the relatives of the people deceased on the flight.  I  was working on the more well known Lufthansa/German wings event and other air disasters.

I am a specialist BUPA Psychotherapist working as a specialist team member for BUPA oncology and BUPAs support working with the Hillsborough disaster re-investigation. I work for a number of EAP’s.
