| Biography | Hi, I’m David. I am a psychosexual, trauma and relationship therapist working online with individuals and couples across the UK and internationally. People often come to me with experiences that feel private, painful, confusing or difficult to put into words. This may involve sexuality, intimacy, desire, arousal, erectile or ejaculation difficulties, sexual trauma, shame, relationship conflict, loss of connection, or a sense of being disconnected from yourself or your body. I offer a calm, attentive and grounded space where these experiences can be spoken about, felt, understood and worked with carefully. My approach is warm and respectful, but also active and honest. I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, offer reflection and structure, and pay attention to what happens in the body, emotions and patterns of relating. In individual therapy, we may explore how sexuality, shame, trauma, desire, confidence, body experience and relationship patterns are connected. In couples therapy, we look at what takes place between you, and what happens inside each of you, when intimacy, conflict, desire or disconnection appear. The work is not about forcing change or analysing everything from a distance. It is about creating enough safety, clarity and depth for you to understand your experience more fully, develop self-trust, and find new ways of relating with more honesty, care and attention. Over the past 16 years, I have supported people through one to one therapy, couples work, group facilitation and workshops. Before becoming a therapist, I worked for many years in social care, supporting vulnerable adults, families and professionals. That experience continues to shape the way I practise: with steadiness, humanity, respect for complexity and attention to the whole person. If what you have read resonates with you, I offer a free 20 minute introductory call to explore whether working together might feel right. |
