Biography

Hello and welcome to my profile. My name is Damien, and I have been a COSRT-registered Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist since June 2024. I  started working with clients as a trainee therapist at the Priory Hospital North London in September 2021 while training with the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology. I am also a Chemsex Specialist supporting people who struggle with sexualised drug use, and I have been working with Controlling Chemsex since February 2023.

As a therapist, I am passionate about supporting people through relational and or sexual hurdles.

I am originally from southern France but have lived in the UK since August 2018. I belong to the ESL (English as a Second Language) and LGBTQ+ communities and can relate to people minoritised on several levels. Given my lived experience and my training, I feel comfortable working on intersectionalities or within spectrums like gender, sexuality, neurodiversity, race and economic deprivation.

Reading books like White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo, and Unmasking Autism by Dr Devon Price, helped me understand the defining socioeconomic factors about specific demographics I hold close to my heart.

My background in Stage Design and Theater Directing and teaching French and Spanish in secondary school gave me the skills necessary to break down psychological concepts. This also allows me to convey how emotions impact our bodies, to use my presence to coregulate and to use the transformative power of creativity.

Before starting my training as a Sex and Relationship Therapist (which I funded working in a sex shop), I occasionally worked as a Dom for private parties. This industry led me to understand the BDSM scene in general and how to support kinksters, sex workers, and people with physical and or neurological impairments.

Types of Therapy Used

My approach is sex positive and integrative, using a range of approaches in response to my clients’ needs. These include psychodynamics, CBT, touch-based homework, psychoeducation, trauma techniques, and relational EFT processes.
