Biography

What if you could set boundaries and communicate your needs and preferences in your relationship(s)? What if you could explore and enjoy your sexuality, sexual orientation, gender identity, and eroticism? Maybe you want to handle relationship conflicts differently, explore ethical-non-monogamy, experience pleasurable sex, nurture a friendship or co-parenting relationship, or be supported in healing from sexual trauma or shame?

Perhaps you don’t know what’s wrong but you’re feeling anxious, sad, or confused about your sexual preferences, gender identity, sexual orientation, and/or your relationship(s) and dating life. Perhaps you’ve identified beliefs or past experiences that limit you. You might have put on a happy mask for too long and you’re exhausted. I invite you to imagine how things could be different and, with this hope – no matter how small the hope might be-, I invite you to get in touch with me.

I understand how difficult it can be to seek support around these topics; please know that we will go at your own pace and that our first session is a chance to see if we’re a good fit for working together.

Who I work with: I work with everyone over the age of 18 years old and I welcome clients from the LGBTQ+ community, including trans and non-binary folks and bi/pan folks. I have experience working with partners, couples, and friends who want to nurture their relationship, repair after betrayals, improve their communication, explore kinks and fetishes, or navigate monogamy or ethical non-monogamy and polyamory. I work with people of diverse ethnical, religious, and cultural backgrounds and have experience supporting people with chronic health conditions and neurodivergence.

How I will work with you: It can be overwhelming to choose a counsellor. I respect the courage it takes to seek counselling and be vulnerable. I aim to create a warm, trusting, and compassionate space where you can feel safe to be yourself and talk openly. I will help you explore what is getting in the way of your wellbeing and growth. When it comes to psychosexual and relationship therapy, I might suggest exercises for you to do at home if you feel comfortable with that. I am a pluralistic counsellor and a psychosexual and relationship therapist, which means I will work in a tailored way, using different therapeutic approaches, to find what works for you and what doesn’t. I have a counselling diploma with a cognitive-behavioural therapy approach, and I also work in a person-centred, body-based, and trauma-informed way. I have a diploma in clinical sexology, psychosexual therapy, and relationship therapy.

Who I am: I am a queer woman from France with a background in community education and social work. I spent 9 years in Scotland working in charities, studying to become a counsellor, and setting up my private practice. I then spent 2 years in Cambridge before moving back to Scotland. I have a background in working with people who are experiencing low self-esteem, anxiety, difficulties with boundaries and assertiveness, shame and guilt, sex and relationship difficulties, loss of meaning and purpose, PTSD or C-PTSD, insecure attachment styles, existential questions, affairs and betrayals, and difficult life transitions. I have years of experience working with survivors of trauma, domestic abuse, childhood abuse or neglect, and sexual violence, though this is not an exhaustive list. I work a lot with the queer community and with people who are ethically non-monogamous or considering opening up their relationship.

I believe in the importance of developing self-compassion and of working with the whole you. I will ask you empathetic questions so that we can explore your thoughts, your beliefs about yourself and others, your emotions, your strengths and values, your behaviours, and the sensations in your body. We will go at your own pace and you will decide what you want to work on.
