I have been a Relationship Counsellor for 29 years and a Psychosexual Therapist for 24 years. I began my career with Relate Plymouth and was employed by them for 18 years before moving on to become the NHS Psychosexual Therapist for Plymouth and surrounding areas for ten years up until 2024. I have returned to Relationships Plymouth (formerly Relate Plymouth) to work as a Psychosexual Therapist and Relationship Counsellor.  Clients can self-refer by telephone or by email through our website.
Since I began training, I have seen changes in the presenting problems that clients bring to therapy. I am constantly updating my skills through Mandatory Training, Continuous Professional Development and Supervision. I regularly attend Conferences in the Sexual Therapy and Sexual Health fields
My practice is regulated by this professional body, supervision and line- management within the organisation where I am employed, to ensure that I am working to a safe, professional standard.
I meet with a group of professionals working in the field of sex therapy and relationship counselling on a bi-monthly basis to share ideas and skills and address clinical issues in casework.
