Adam Nanayakkara

Adam Nanayakkara offers a confidential therapeutic space for individuals and intimate partners to navigate complex sex and relationship issues. Drawing on extensive experience in interpersonal relations, he helps people explore paths to greater connection, joy, and intimacy. Adam’s wide multicultural experience allows him to help clients from diverse backgrounds with a variety of challenges related to sex, which can be especially daunting to talk about.

Adam is a fully qualified Sex and Relationship Therapist, and registered member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT). He is also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which is the leading regulatory body in the UK for Counsellors and Psychotherapists. Adam holds an enhanced DBS certificate for adults and has worked with the NHS as an Honorary Counsellor at the Sussex Cancer Centre at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.

Adam has a BA in Psychology, a double-Masters, a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling, and a Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology (CICS) Diploma in Clinical Sexology and Relationship therapy – which is accredited by the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (NCIP) and endorsed by Pink Therapy. He takes part in regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) exceeding the BACP and COSRT annual membership requirements to ensure he has the capacity to practise safely, effectively and legally within the evolving scope of practice.
