Specialised Practice Qualification Courses

COSRT Accredits courses that lead to a specialist professional qualification suitable to support practice in two disciplines – Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy, and Relationship Therapy.

Specialised Practice Qualification courses Accredited by COSRT have been assessed against a rigorous set of industry leading benchmarks.  Assessment covers key areas such as:

  • Policies and procedures including ethics, conduct and complaints.
  • Entry requirements including education levels and wider experience.
  • Education standards including learning outcomes.
  • Teaching staff quality and qualifications.
  • Opportunities for professional development, clinical placements and supervision.

Courses given accreditation from 2023 onwards are given a COSRT ‘level’. This is assigned by COSRT and indicates, based on information provided by course providers, the progression in terms of knowledge, skills and understanding achieved by graduates. As levels advance from 5 to 7, courses are expected to equip students with increasingly advanced knowledge and the ability to apply that in a sophisticated way in professional contexts.

Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy (PRT) Courses Level 7

Graduation from one of these courses entitles entry to both COSRT Registers as they cover the integrated discipline of Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy.
