COSRT is recruiting new Professional Standards Board (PSB) members

The Professional Standards Board is an important group within COSRT’s structure.  It helps develop, monitor and implement the different policies and practices that underpin our work to improve standards for practitioners and protect the public.  The group has a demonstrable impact, and members are able to contribute directly to the improvement of our profession.

As part of our ongoing organisational improvement we are recruiting three new Professional Standards Board Members.  Current and future objectives include inputting into work on training and CPD accreditation, COSRT Membership requirements and offers, conduct procedures and complaints.  If you have the necessary skills and experience, as well as a commitment to improving standards in psychotherapy and psychosexual therapy we would love to hear from you.

The requirements are:

  • An understanding of professional standards generally as well as clear knowledge and understanding of the COSRT’s Conduct Procedure, Code of Ethics and other key policies.
  • To have achieved Accredited COSRT Member status.
  • The ability to assimilate a large quantity of information and understand the salient points quickly.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with an ability to communicate at all levels, including effective and clear verbal communication by telephone, video link and face to face.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Commitment to delivering high quality service.
  • Willingness to attend COSRT conferences and to assist with manning the help desk and answer member queries.
  • Clear knowledge and understanding of the COSRT Conduct Procedure, the Code of Ethics for General and Accredited Members and the Code of Ethics for Supervisors.

Training will be given on aspects of the role after joining.
