The Grove’s Diploma in Trauma Therapy

This training gives an overview of theory relating to therapy for psychological trauma and PTSD. And offers a systematic method for assessing and implementing trauma therapy equipping participants with practical therapy skills.

The course is taught at a level suitable for qualified professionals who are already established in their own mode of practice. Participants are expected to:

  • Relate the course material to their own case material (anonymously but contextually).
  • Analyse the concepts being taught and critically reflect on how to use the learning in their own work context.
  • Discuss the material during the time on taught course days spent in the full group, and participate in skills practice exercises in smaller groups.
  • Write essays at graduate level, incorporating explanation of theoretical concepts, their own evaluation of the material, plus a case study description of how this learning has been used in their own clinical practice.
