New COSRT CPD course coming to Birmingham on Sexual Abuse

New COSRT CPD course coming to Birmingham on Sexual Abuse

Living With the Impact of Childhood Sexual Abuse on Adult Sexual Contact is a new course coming to Birmingham on the 13th March 2020.

Presented by Sally Openshaw, a sexual and relationship therapist, who works using a developmental, relationally-focussed, integrative model. She has completed additional training in trauma-focussed work so will bring a mix of both these approaches to this study day. She typically uses case examples to bring the workshops to life and will provide various resources to take away for your own future work.

This workshop will provide attendees with:-
• Normalisation of childhood sexual development and the impact of interruptions to that development
• How to assess individual historical breaks in contact during adult sexual connection
• Management of safe touch if triggered by history
• Widening the window of tolerance to enable expansive sexual contact
• Exploring shame responses and returning shame to the rightful owner
• Enabling and supporting new joyful and free sexual expression
