Media Engagement

COSRT is the only professional body in the UK that is dedicated to Psychosexual and Relationship Therapies. These are highly specialised professions that support people facing issues related to relationships, intimacy and identity in a range of contexts. For example, developing fulfilling relationships, managing sexual challenges, exploring personal identity, dealing with the effects of trauma and abuse, and many more.

Too often, non-specialised therapists or organisations are called upon to comment or give information on these issues areas. But general therapists and therapy organisations lack the expertise needed.

COSRT has provided expert opinion and information to the media for many years, drawing on an unparalleled level of experience and evidence on what works and why.

So how can COSRT help?

  • We can give information on the realities of Psychosexual Therapy (sometimes called Sex Therapy) and Relationship Therapy.
  • We can share give insight into how people’s common challenges can be addressed in a proper clinical fashion.
  • We can give evidence-based information drawing on research from our international journal.
  • We can give comment on national debates from the perspective of a national professional body.

Depending on the request, we can provide support and input directly through our staff and Trustees, or we may direct you to one of our Senior Members or Journal Editorial Board for comments.
