Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the course of the menopause journey
  • Gain insight into the wide variety of symptoms women experience.
  • Review genito urinary syndrome of the menopause (GSM), symptoms and management.
  • Review treatment for menopausal symptoms including CBT, Non medical medication, medicines and HRT.
  • Review the impact of hormonal treatment such as contraceptives on the genital tract.
  • Take part in discussion and share knowledge of cases in which menopausal symptoms have played a significant part.
  • Discussion of delegates’ challenging and not so challenging case scenarios

Dr Sue Stillwell qualified in Sheffield 1987 and trained in obstetrics and gynaecology and then in General Practise. She worked as a GP and has continued to work in gynaecology, vulval skin and menopause clinics in Sheffield .
Women’s health care especially sexual health and menopause care have been passions for her. She enjoys working in sexual health clinics in the community and especially enjoys sharing her expertise in menopause care with both her primary and secondary care colleagues. She is excited to see increasing interest in the menopause from professionals and increasing demand from women and their families for balanced advice about menopause care.

Trudy Hannington is the lead therapist working alongside a specialist GP (Dr Savage) at the Leger clinic in Doncaster an integrated clinic covering all sexual difficulties. This is a private clinic with contracts with the NHS. She has been the specialist for Doncaster and Bassetlaw for over 10 years, As well as being an experienced trainer presenting at local and national conferences she has developed her medical knowledge over the years in order to be able to offer a holistic approach to sexual health. Trudy has a vast experience of working in sexual health and was awarded Yorkshire Woman of Achievement in 2004.  She is an accredited member of COSRT and registered with UKCP.

Terms and Conditions:

The full fee for each training day is £115 for COSRT members and £125 for non-members. Cheques should be made payable to COSRT in GB pounds sterling. Payment must be received by COSRT before the training day. Confirmation and details of your booking will be emailed to you.

Cancellations must be made in writing. There is an administrative charge of £20 per person for cancellations received up to six weeks prior to the training day. Thereafter no refund is possible. To substitute a delegate please call the COSRT office (020 8543 2707) at least seven days prior to the event.

COSRT reserves the right to change the venue or speakers due to unforeseen circumstances. In the unlikely event of a training day being cancelled, a full refund will be made, but COSRT disclaims any further liability.
