Extended Profile

I have worked as a Couple, Individual and Psychosexual Psychotherapist and as an Assessor for “Tavistock Relationships” (formerly TCCR) for many years. I also work on Harley Street at “Innisfree therapy” where I see couples struggling with the outcome of a partner who has been compulsively “acting out” of the relationship, causing a lack of trust and the requirement for a new agreement around honesty and transparency (as with use of “porn” and infidelity). I also have a thriving private practice, “Hampstead Couples Psychotherapy” (HCP). Many of my clients present with a sexual “dysfunction” which may require referral to a medical practitioner. But many of these issues are “situational” and can be worked with in the context of the dynamics of the relationship. I also see couples who cannot reconnect with levels of sexual desire which previously existed in their relationship or partners who have never really known how to connect with their sexual selves in the way that they would like. As the work progresses, other themes commonly emerge to do with anxiety, depression, self esteem or body image. But these are just examples. The issues that I have worked with vary enormously. Each therapy is an entity in itself and addressed accordingly with a bespoke programme of treatment, usually employing  a mix of Psychodynamic, behavioural and cognitive techniques, together with an emphasis on (psycho)education. Within the context of an exclusive and discreet therapy space, I believe that my clients feel profoundly listened to and understood, that they experience significant levels of positive change in their relationships with others and with themselves and that they learn new ways of relating which are long lasting and life changing.
